Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and understanding of
concepts related to technology (as described in the ISTE NETS*T).
Meet with teams to discuss district and campus plans.
On September 7 and 8, 2010, I met with the grade
level teachers during their conference times. I led a discussion about
appropriate technology usage for their age groups. I compiled a list of
appropriate technologies including Web 2.0 tools on a Google Doc so the teachers
and principal could access as necessary: click here
I led the discussion on yearly testing such as MAPs. I also
helped the teachers understand the importance of utilizing Edna Phythian,
Special Teacher on Assignment for Global Technology. I reiterated that in all
the technology planning considered throughout the year, the teachers need to
concentrate on the student being the end user of technology.
